Locally owned and operated since 1991. The owner Scott Leppin has 25 years of experience as a licensed Professional Home Inspector and has performed over 9,000 inspections. This gives him a wealth of knowledge and experience in knowing what to look for. Scott’s extensive experience and countless hours of continuing education make him the obvious choice for your home inspection.

Scott personally performs every inspection and will spend as much time as the client needs to feel comfortable knowing that all questions have been answered and everything has been seen and understood.

You carefully select your lawyer, your doctor, and your Realtor.  Don’t change your approach in selecting a Professional Home Inspector.   A home inspection is not a commodity.  You need thoroughness, accuracy, communication skill, and service.  In today’s market you can get a cheap home inspection, but you cannot get a truly good home inspection cheap.  Saving a few dollars on an inspection with an inexperienced inspector can cost you hundreds if not thousands in repairs later.

Leppin Inspection Services has E & O (Errors & Omissions), Professional Liability, and General Liability insurance for your protection.

scott-leppinI am the founder of Leppin Inspection Services, located in Austin, Texas. I’ve been a licensed professional inspector for over 25 years.  I personally perform every home inspection myself and always give my clients the utmost personal attention they deserve. As a licensed professional, I have a fiduciary responsibility to all of my clients and I have high regards for every one of them. I respect the fact that they rely on me and my vast home inspection knowledge to personally assist them during their home buying process.

Prior to becoming a home inspector I worked as a General Contractor and Home Renovator for 7 years and have 8 years of Mechanical Contracting experience. Having been on “both sides of the fence” as a contractor formally and now as an inspector, I understand the dynamics of tradesmen and/or home builders trying to cut corners and still attempting to sell a product. Having someone on your side who knows how and where to look for these “deficiencies” can prove invaluable.
